The story of AMEGA began from a clearly identified need within the Romanian healthcare system: the lack of an operator capable of providing air medical transport at international standards, with full coordination and assumed responsibility. As a physician, I understood that, in critical situations, time is not just an operational factor, but an essential clinical variable.
My experience of over 15 years in emergency medicine and more than 10 years in international medical transport formed the foundation for developing an operational model focused on efficiency, safety, and predictability.
AMEGA was built to meet the requirements of international partners — insurance companies, assistance providers, and medical institutions — that need an operator capable of managing complex missions end-to-end, across multiple jurisdictions.
We operate under the “bed-to-bed” principle, which involves assuming full responsibility for the patient, from the point of origin to safe handover to the receiving medical facility. The integration of medical and operational components allows for reduced response times and optimization of each stage of transport.
Each mission is planned and executed according to strict protocols, with specialized medical teams and equipment aligned with intensive care standards. The focus is on sound decision-making, efficient coordination, and transparent communication with all stakeholders involved. Our objective is clear: to become a trusted partner within international air medical transport networks, delivering operational consistency and high standards in every intervention.
